DDRCi June 2026 meeting – the club, the future and some bargains
Come and join us at a different location, as we look at the future of the club and where we might be in one, two, five and ten years.
We’re meeting as the guest of Toowoomba Girl Guides at the Guides Hut at 18A Memory Street, Harristown. And why? We have a great opportunity to put a toe in the water and see if this is a venue we could use in the future.
The meeting will include all your favorite segments: review of the club; debrief on the Bunnings BBQ; some second-hand gear for you to check out (watch this space for more details in the next week); a big natter, and a bit of a look at where we’re going as a club.
What would you like to see us doing in one, two, five and ten years? What part of ham radio is important to you? How could the club provide HF access for people who aren’t allowed to erect an antenna at home? What might happen if we have a permanent clubhouse?
Plus: bring some stuff to show and tell. Everyone loves to see someone else’s stuff.
Hint: if you have a folding chair, bring it. The hut is lightly furnished right now.
All this and more at the club meeting on Monday 8 June. Tons of on-street and off-street parking. You provide the warm body, and we’ll provide the tea, coffee and timtams.
